A Belly Band will not stop your dog from marking his territory inside your house but it will SAVE your furniture, carpets and floors from the damage and smell of dog urine. It will also save you a lot of the frustration of cleaning up.  Belly bands help control marking and save the frustration of unwanted smells and stains in your home.  It is also a way to know if your dog is being a perfect gentleman - or not!  For us owners, urinating indoors is probably one of the worst of our dogs behaviors. However, from a dog’s viewpoint, lifting a leg is perfectly natural and quite acceptable.  Their way to “claim what is theirs”.  Often a male dog will mark it's territory in the house or even worse when you go visiting he marks inside someone else's house. This can be quite embarrassing to say the least.  This behavior is usually worse in a multiple dog house or when a strange dog visits. 

Belly bands may be the solution for you and your dog.  And can be the perfect way eliminate the frustration of a leg lifter.  It takes away the stress so you can have your dog and love him too! You can also apply a self adhesive pad (a feminine pad) to the belly band.  Belly bands are machine washable and reused as needed. It is a good idea to have several belly bands and launder them as necessary.
Many dogs are inhibited from lifted their leg simply by wearing a belly band. If this does not work with your dog, at least the urine is caught by the belly band, not your furniture.

Also, older dogs often become incontinent and a belly band is an excellent method to prevent accidents in your house.  It allows you to enjoy your older pet and not worry about damage to your house.
